Recommended Feeding

Our Elzie’s serving scooper is approximately 1/3 of a cup.

We recommend: Approximately 1 heaping Elzie’s scoop for every 10 lbs. of dog, twice daily.  Add approximately an additional 1/3 cup for every 7 pounds of dog.

*Please note: these serving sizes are approximate and will vary based upon the dog’s age, history, pregnancy, etc.

Please be sure to rehydrate your food prior to serving your dog. Approximately 1:1 ratio of water to food. Don’t worry about over-hydrating your food.  We recommend a warm to room temperature water to make for the fastest rehydration process. Let your bowl sit until your food feels good and soft and serve.

TRANSITIONING

Day 1: add 1/4 of your recommended Elzie’s serving to your dog’s already existing meal. Be sure to subtract about 1/4 of your dog’s already existing food when doing so.

Day 4: add 1/2 of your recommended Elzie’s serving to your dog’s already existing meal. Be sure to subtract about 1/2 of your dog’s already existing food when doing so.

Day 5: add 3/4 of your recommended Elzie’s serving to your dog’s already existing meal. Be sure to subtract about 3/4 of your dog’s already existing food when doing so.

Day 6: add 3/4 of your recommended Elzie’s serving to your dog’s already existing meal. Be sure to subtract about 3/4 of your dog’s already existing food when doing so.

Day 7: BADABOOM BADABANG! Get ready to serve them their first 100% Elzie’s meal and watch the magic happen.
